Accounts Administrator (6 month temp)

PAYROLL / ACCOUNTS ADMINISTRATOR | PERMANENT | ORMSKIRK | £25,175
Monday – Friday | 37.5 hours per week | Permanent Position
KPI Recruiting are currently looking for a proactive and organised Payroll / Accounts Administrator to join a busy team in Ormskirk on a permanent basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous payroll, accounts or administration experience who is confident working with financial information, data and computer systems.
The role will be split approximately 60/40 between payroll and accounts, providing the successful candidate with the opportunity to develop their experience across both areas of the department.
Key ResponsibilitiesPayroll:
Assist with the processing of weekly and monthly payrolls.
Update and maintain accurate employee payroll information.
Set up new starters and process employee leavers.
Action tax code notification changes.
Process employee salary sacrifice requests, ensuring National Minimum Wage requirements are not breached.
Assist with the administration of company pension schemes.
Ensure payroll information is accurate and up to date.
Provide general payroll administration support to the wider department.
Accounts & Finance:
Log invoices onto the internal database.
Carry out basic invoice processing.
Assist with general finance and accounts administration.
Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
Liaise with internal teams regarding payroll and accounts queries.
Assist the department with general finance tasks where required.
Ensure all information is entered accurately and in a timely manner.
Previous experience within payroll, accounts or administration would be advantageous.
Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
Experience or understanding of payroll processes would be highly advantageous.
Confident using computer systems and working with data.
Good numerical and data entry skills.
Strong organisational and time-management skills.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
Good understanding of the importance of accuracy when processing payroll and financial information.
Ability to identify discrepancies and resolve issues effectively.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a wider team.
Positive and proactive attitude.
Ability to manage workload effectively and meet deadlines.
Permanent position.
Monday – Friday.
37.5 hours per week.
Based in Ormskirk.
Approximately 60/40 payroll and accounts split.
