Deputy Manager - residential childcare

Location: Sefton, Merseyside
Salary: £16.50 to £17.00
Contract: Full-time, Permanent. Predominantly Monday to Friday hours.

We are recruiting for a Deputy Manager to join a esidential children’s home in Sefton, supporting young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD).

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Residential Support Worker looking to take the next step into management, or an existing Deputy Manager looking to join a growing organisation where they can have a genuine impact on the development of the service.

The Role

Working closely with the Registered Manager, you will help oversee the day-to-day running of the home and support the team to provide high-quality, consistent care to the young people.

Your role will include:

• Supporting the Registered Manager with the day-to-day running of the home
• Leading and supporting staff to maintain high standards of care
• Helping create a safe, consistent and nurturing environment for young people
• Supporting the development of the service as it grows
• Ensuring safeguarding and care practices remain at the heart of the home
• Providing guidance and leadership to the staff team
• Working flexibly around the needs of the service

Who We’re Looking For

We are looking for someone who:

• Holds a Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare or equivalent
• Has experience supporting children and young people with EBD
• Is currently working as a Deputy Manager or an experienced/strong Senior Residential Support Worker
• Has good leadership skills and can support and develop a staff team
• Is confident working within a residential children’s home environment
• Ideally holds a full UK driving licence
