HGV Workshop Administrator

Location: Widnes
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time Position
Shift: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm
Salary: £33,000 per annum
No Weekend Working

We are looking for an organised and proactive HGV Workshop Administrator to join a team based in Widnes on a permanent basis.

The successful candidate will provide essential administrative support to the workshop, ensuring paperwork, customer communication and day-to-day administration are handled accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Processing employee timesheets accurately and within required deadlines
• Processing workshop job cards and ensuring all information is recorded correctly
• Raising purchase order (PO) numbers
• Obtaining customer order numbers and ensuring they are recorded against the relevant work
• Dealing with inspection and compliance paperwork
• Ensuring all workshop documentation is accurately recorded, maintained and filed
• Greeting customers and providing a professional and friendly first point of contact
• Dealing with customer queries by phone, email and in person
• Providing customers with updates on vehicle repairs and workshop progress
• Preparing and providing repair and service costs to customers
• Liaising with workshop staff, customers and suppliers to ensure work is processed efficiently
• Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the workshop administration function

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
• Confident dealing with customers and colleagues
• Able to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
• Comfortable working in a busy workshop environment
• Confident with administration, paperwork and computer systems
• Professional, approachable and reliable
• Able to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing
• Experienced in a workshop, transport, HGV, fleet or automotive environment would be advantageous, but relevant administrative experience will also be considered
