Residential Children’s Support Worker

Location: Wallasey, Merseyside
Salary: £33,000 to £34,000 per year including sleep-ins
Hours: Full-time, permanent
Shift Pattern: 2 on, 4 off

We are recruiting for a Residential Children’s Worker to join a residential children’s home in Wallasey supporting young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD).

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in residential childcare, adult social care or a similar care environment who wants to develop a career supporting children and young people.

The Role

You will provide person centred support to young people within a Ofsted regulated residential children’s home.

Your role will include:

• Building positive and trusting relationships with young people
• Supporting with daily routines, activities and independence
• Providing emotional and practical support
• Supporting young people within the home and community
• Promoting safeguarding and creating a safe and supportive environment

Who We’re Looking For

Previous children’s residential experience is desirable. Both qualified and unqualified candidates will be considered, although ideally you will have at least one year of relevant care experience.
