Tradebe Knowsley runs a large hazardous waste export arm which requires an experienced supervisory role to help oversee various operational aspects of the department. You will work closely with the IRS Chemist and liaise daily with the operations managers to ensure absolute control is maintained across the group's activities. The IRS activities involve all areas of the site so clear communication and planning must align with an overall site approach. The operational efficiencies and activities will be the responsibility of the Lead IRS Supervisor, and as a result, contact and communication with senior company and site management is expected.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensuring material is in good condition and highlighting NCR's if packages are not suitable to be transported.
• Ensuring the most effective repackaging method determined, taking into consideration safety and cost.
• Ensuring the route chosen on receipt is the most effective route.
• Monitoring levels of TFS stock across the site and aligning needs with outbound export planning.
• Ensuring the full loads gathered match with the weekly export plan and help to maximise efficient space creation across site.
• Liaising with the site operations and site management team to highlight daily pressures & issues and develop action plans.
• Delegating material to be processed based on urgency and priority.
• Raising any applicable H&S issues via the QPulse system to ensure safe operating practices across site.
• Loading export containers and trailers, maximising load weight and ensuring safe loading plans, with all relevant ADR & IMDG labelling.

• Minimum 3-5 years experience working in a busy operational environment, alongside multiple colleagues and team members.
• Qualified forklift driver with significant experience in FLT operations and loading / unloading vehicles via ramp access.
• Operational experience of a working within the waste regulations and requirements of package integrity and load safety with regard international transport.
• Knowledge and awareness of ADR / IMDG and its importance within the import, export and handling of hazardous wastes.
